I don't like double because my defense isn't great and partner might pass when they make, or down 1 when we can make a game. It is also a big mess if he bids 4S. 4D is safe, but will often miss our best game of 4H. I think I would just close my eyes and bid 4H and hope to catch some hearts with pard. Specifically the reds, because you could have doubled then pulled 4♦ to 4♥ with the majors? If that's the agreement, partner should be well-placed to decide whether to stick it out or try Door #2 at the 5-level; on the other hand, if it were "either other suit," you could bid 4♥ with the majors but longer hearts, or even the majors but a hand that doesn't want partner to convert.
