matmat
playing vanilla 2/1, 15-17NT what sort of hand does opener show on these uncontested auctions: 1m - 1M 4M 1m - 1M3M does it matter if responder is a passed hand? also, what do opener and responder show on this auction: 1m - (1M) - 1N - (p) 2N
Stephen Tu
1m - 1M4M 19-21 "support points (HCP+ points added for distributional features)", unsuited to splinter, so typically 5422 or some 5431 with a stiff A/K declining to splinter. Or 19 hcp 4333/4432, though some might only bid 3M with some of the worse ones of those depending on style. 1m - 1M3M 16-18 support points. Either 18 bal, or some sort of unbalanced hand that doesn't have a mini-splinter available. does it matter if responder is a passed hand? no. also, what do opener and responder show on this auction: 1m - (1M) - 1N - (p)2N I would assume ~8-10 for responder, ~16 schmoints unbal for opener.
