fred
I have been at a tournament during the past couple of weeksand during this time we have received more than the usualnumber of reports about the BBO client program crashing and/or freezing. I am going to try to fix this, but I need more information. If this has happened to you, please let me know if you havenoticed any pattern (ie always happens at a tournament table when I try to send a private chat message). You can either post reports here or e-mail me: fred@bridgebase.com Thanks in advance for any information you can provide! Rain
I don't freeze/crash, but there's a partnership bidding bug.. Both of us using same client version, 3.6.7 I clicked "Undo" at the wrong moment I think, just as the movie button popped up. Things started to go wrong :D First my bidding box disappeared, (had to leave table and return for it to reappear), then partner's redeal button disappears, then my undo button also disappears....so we started new table. Alls fine now. Thanks Fred Rain
aisha759
Hello Fred;Welcome back!In your absence there have been discussions about a bug in 3.6.7 version, and i am not sure how much of it you have read, so i apologize in advance, if this is a repetiton. These are the following problems i personally have encountered: 1.) When I kibb or play at a table, and try to click lobby button it doesnt work and suddenly i find myself frozen and cant chat to room or kibbers... when i click "back" to go to lobby, it takes me back withouth any problems, once i return to table I find myself in the same situation... once i log off, and reboot, everything is back to normal. (this happened to me 4 times so far since i downloaded this new version) 2.) When i click the "alert" button, then move mouse towards my bid, suddenly the bidding box disappears and i find myself having passed....(this happened a few times) once i click "undo" and it has been accepted, i am able to see all hands... (this only happened once so far) Thank you for looking into it... Regards, Aisha

If anyone else has experienced this problem, pleaselet me know. Most important, please let me know ifyou have found any pattern to this. A few questions: 1) Which version of Windows are you using? 2) What screen resolution are you using? 3) Next time you see this happen, can you please tryto minimize and the restore the BBO window and letme know if this makes a difference. You can always e-mail me: fred@bridgebase.com if youprefer, but hosting here is also fine. slothy
2.) (this only happened once so far) Dear Fred, Welcome back! With regards to Aisha's second problem...i thought it may be *important* for you to be aware of when/how it happened....as may have some bearing to your searching for the bug, if it is one...dunno... When it happened Aisha had the chronic misfortune of being my partner :D... The auction had gone 1♠ - P - P* - P *P: Aisha had gone through the procedure she described. The bidding had technically finished (ie she was to be dummy and she could see all hands anyway) when her request for an UNDO was put to the opponents. After the acceptance the bids unfolded as expected and she quite honorably B) voiced to the table that she could see all the cards and made her desired bid of 3♣. After that the auction continued as normal with the slight advantage that Aisha could see all the cards. I was declarer in ♠ so no idea what would have happened if she was declarer... She had requested an UNDO in the same set of hands (alas it is more of a habit than a misclick ;) ) with no problem. In this case, the only difference being that the bidding had ended... Hope this helps... Alex Ps One of the few hands we were in the right contract, believe it or not ;) hee hee
fred
Sorry - in my earlier post I meant to say that it was problem 1), not problem 2) that I was attemptingto fix. I have edited my previous post. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com
