keep losing BBO connection briefly

Tonight we were trying to have a team match and three of the 8 players kept getting either frozen or disconnected, to the point the match eventually got cancelled. It seems that it always is a lot worse when vugraphs are on. Is there any way to track this so maybe something can be done?

I am also having connection problems today. My internet connection is stable, but bbo sometimes just disconnects..and it takes a while before I can reconnect.

During 2nd disconnection I checked to see if I could tracert the bbo IP address:

C:\Users\Gert>tracert 69.93.3.164

Tracing route to bridgebase02.bridgebase.com [69.93.3.164]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

 1     1 ms     1 ms     1 ms *********
 2     7 ms    23 ms    12 ms  d5152B001.access.telenet.be [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

11   148 ms   150 ms   149 ms  bridgebase02.bridgebase.com [69.93.3.164]

Trace complete.

But I still wasn't able to connect at that moment.

Temporary disconnections for no apparent reason have always been a problem, I have always suspected the advertising cookie-handling, but this is pure guesswork, but it does seem to me that the system is more likely to freeze or boot at the same moment that adverts change, I often get blank adverts too.

I wonder if BBO Flash/MSN has a more stable connection? Has anyone any thoughts?

I used the Java (there must be more Java in it than Flash, mustn't there?) client for the first week I was a member (about a month ago). It never occoured to me that the old windows software would be feature rich and the new software so feature poor. (Silly me) :)

I had NO connection problems at all ever on the Java client.

I find the windows software crashes almost every time (9 out ot 10) that I BACK out of a table.

If the table is dead quiet and you have no "movie" window open then you just MIGHT BACK-out OK but otherwise, forget it.

The win client is normally stable when at a table but I have had 2 "lockups" in the weeks I have been on the windows software.

My connection is a 100% up time no probs cable.
