brockobama
This is my second day on the BBO. It was fascinating to watch live inernational players. Does anyone know the BBO name for Bill Gates and/or Warren Buffet? Also, assuming I had their names, what is the easiest way to kibitz one of their sessions? Thanks for indulging me.
jtfanclub
They deliberately keep their IDs secret. They actually aren't very good bridge players (compared to the true World Class players, I'm sure they're better than I am), and aren't really looking for the criticism that they'd get if their IDs were known, not to mention get-rich-quick schemes, etc. May I recommend kibbitzing the 'star' players instead? They are not only world-class players, but those who have agreed to make this public. They can be a lot more fun to watch than two famous people playing average bridge. barmar
If there's a player you want to watch, but they're not a "star", you can add them to your Friends list. This makes it easy to find them in the player list (they'll be listed first if they're online). You can click on them and click on "Join" to jump to the table where they're playing. However, I second the recommendation to watch stars. Twice a day there's a 28-board team game between Jimmy Cayne and his buddies and another good team. Jimmy is a star and his handle is JEC. If you use BBO Flash, an easy way to find games to kibitz is in the BBO Now menu, click on Interesting Tables. These tables are sorted by the number of kibitzers -- if you see 60 kibitzers, it's probably an interesting game.

I thought most people knew them by now. I guess it's a better kept secret than I thought!
barmar
Wasn't there a thread a few months ago where people were posting the handles of lots of famous, non-starred players?
