If you pass, lho would open 1♠ and rho raises to 2♠, what's your bid?
lexlogan
I'd open 5D. Having passed, I think I'd pass again, maybe they aren't bidding game.
jdonn
Easy pass first, and pretty easy 3♠ second.
han
Agree with Josh, wouldn't dream of opening this one.
andy_h
agree with pass and 3S
peachy
I would not open. With my luck, I would open the wrong suit anyway, and if it were diamonds on high level, pd would never imagine I have KQ10xx hearts on the side. Pass first, I might come in with 3S later to show this hand.
Guest Jlall
Pass then 4D leaping michaels. 4D must be leaping michaels logically.
P_Marlowe
#1 Pass#2 3S (or 4D ... if I trust partner gets the message, I am not convinced I would have thought about it, but it sounds logical) seems right, you may also try a pass, intending to bid 4NT over 4S / and to sell out below game, but this maybe a little bit too deep. With kind regardsMarlowe
jdonn
Pass then 4D leaping michaels. 4D must be leaping michaels logically. Ok partner won't think so on this deal, but couldn't you have passed as dealer with, say, 4171? But I'm not saying I disagree, just sort of wondering out loud. Rossoneri
I'd agree with pass and 3S, but I wonder will partner now think I am asking him for a spade stop to play 3N? (Not that it might not work, but he will probably have a different idea of my hand if he thinks that way?)

dicklont
I would open 2♥, weak hand with 5 hearts and 4 card or longer in a minor suit. This Muiderberg convention is quite popular in Holland. When the opps bid 2♠ and 3♠ after that I'll bid 4♦. Then my partner will know what to do over 4♠. I won't open 2♥ Muiderberg, even if i'm playing it, i think 5♥+7♦ it's not a Muiderberg hand.
dicklont
I won't open 2♥ Muiderberg, even if i'm playing it, i think 5♥+7♦ it's not a Muiderberg hand. I would say Muiderberg is the closest thing to this hand and be happy to preempt.
