kenrexford
My partner bid 3C and we found SEVEN clubs. I thought he made a good bid. Not sure I would have made the same bid but I definitely will after this thread. Just for curiosity, what was the other hand and auction? Obviously a good one. I had the other aces and kings, 5 clubs (i showed the queen in keycard), and short spades. How did you work out showing the shortness in spades (or showing the fragment from the other side)? Or, a WAG?

Or, a WAG? I raised to 4C. Partner just bid 4D keycard over this (presumably because 4C is a pretty strong statement at MP). I bid 5C, and he bid 5D. In reality I had something like A Kxx Axxx KJTxx so drove to 7C. If one of my hearts had been a spade I would have bid 5H, then 7 over 5S. I'm sure this is not everyone's idea of a 1N opener but that is what I did and I feel that it's clearcut even. Han also opened 1N with these cards (14-16 also).
