gwnn
A98xxTxxxxxxx pard opens 2♥ first seat MP's none vulnerable. You can assume he has 6 cards. Also, this is an individual tournament and it's quite probable that all three players make unreliable decisions. Do you raise to 3♥?

hotShot
If I don't raise it to 3♥, it's only to bid 4♥, because opps have game. and 3♥ might not keep them from bidding 3NT of finding their best minor fit.

rogerclee
3♥ looks pretty normal, I guess 3NT has some chance of working.
pclayton
Im content with 3H but 2S could also be right

Edmunte1
I'm not passing this. 3♥ taking away bidding space seems more than normal
whereagles
3♥. Won't stop them from bidding 3NT but might make it harder to find their would-be 6m slam.
P_Marlowe
Hi, 4H. It is either 3H or 4H, playing an individual bidding4H is probably safer, maybr my unknown partnerthinks 3H is inv., what do I know, but ask me tommorow and it maybe 3H. With kind regardsMarlowe
gwnn
I bid 3♥ LHO doubled on his strong NT RHO bid 4♦ ending the auction, which easily made. 3NT goes down cause we have 2 aces to take before they take 9 tricks. so partner said "argh dude what was 3♥ good for, they'd <<find>> 3NT. were you afraid of spades??" brianshark
3♥ and it baffles me the way people give out to their partner like this, though it happens all the time in bridge. Any intermediate+ player should know that 3♥ is a reasonable (almost text-book) action with your hand. Even if said intermediate+ player wouldn't have taken the action him/herself, it should be obvious that it is reasonable and on another day might have worked out. whereagles
gwnn, pard is a results merchant. If you had, say, ♥AKx and out he might have had a point, but as it is, he's just being silly. After all, opps might have bid 3NT and gone down and you'd be the hero.
