jwlawrence
How does one go about setting up a convention card on BBO? Thanks,Jack
effervesce
At the bottom of the BBO program, there is a 'CONV' button. Click on it, click on work convention card. This will bring up a program called 'Full Disclosure'.To start writing one, click the button 'Settings' at the top, and then 'editor'. You can then start putting in definitions of various bids and continuations.

I hate it when my opps use that program and set up the "new style" convention card. The explanations for every bid, no matter how mundane, pop up, and most of the time the explanation is not accurate. Furthermore, if you want to find out about the opps system in general, it is extremely difficult. I mentioned to one of the TDs how much I hate the convention card produced by this program. He agreed with me. Use the "old-fashioned" convention cards available on BBO. Load one of the default cards (SAYC, 2/1, etc.) and modify it according to your system. That cc is much easier to work with, even though there might not be enough space for everything.
