martoche
Hi :P With the 3.6.7 version of bbo which is great for several reason, most of us have a pb with the chat. Every time we want to chat on a table, the first thing who open is "kibitzers". So, mostly, we have to rewrite our message. I know that we could care of this before to write but is it impossible to come back like it was before ( chat open directly with the table). Thank you for reading me and sorry to bother you for such a few thing. Martoche
inquiry
This "change" was made, I believe, because kibitizers would frequently be talking about the hand being played with each other, and occassionaly the chat would go to the table, essentially ruining the hand. My recollection is that people complained about that here in this forum, and fred changed the default. To read more about this "controversy" from the other side... see this thread..http://bridgebase.lunarpages.com/~bridge2/...owtopic=463&hl= This also shows nicely, that Fred and uday are responsive to suggestions made in this forum. I just hope they don't change back to the old way when there is easy solution...see below. A solution is to use the hot key... CONTROL-S to open your chat when you want to talk with the room. This is actually easy to do as kibitzer, becasue you don't need your mouse and you want to be typing anyway.... so just get in the habit of using the hot key, and this will not be a problem. ben
