HeavyDluxe
Well, it looks like the rosters for the Spingold and Wagar teams are up on the ACBL site. Anyone have any predictions which will dazzle and excite us? Gerben offered a pool for the '07 Bermuda bowl... I wonder if there'd be interest in something similar after the bracket thins a little? Anyway, should be some fun viewing! PS - Good luck to all the BBOFers, particularly - I suppose - to the team of Matt, Phil, Han, Roger, Josh and Bruce in the Mini I. rogerclee
I have some inside info that the 84-seed in the mini-spingold is going to dominate.
Guest Jlall
lol is this for real? It looks like I'm set to play my dad in the round of 64 assuming nothing bad happens today...
hrothgar
We should definitely get a pool going. I'm expecting big things from the #5 seed and #7 seeds; however, 15 is my sentimental favorite
HeavyDluxe
We should definitely get a pool going.Assuming that hrothgar speaks for at least a handful of others, I'll throw up a thread tomorrow morning announcing the pool and seeking submissions... We'll aim for a submission deadline of Wednesday @ 1pm Las Vegas time (PDT) since that's when cards hit the table.I have some inside info that the 84-seed in the mini-spingold is going to dominate. Thanks for the tip, Roger. They say you can bet on anything in Vegas, right? :( Good luck! We're pulling for you all. More tomorrow.

655321
Good luck to team 84 in the mini-spingold! :) Sorry if this is a stupid question(s), but what is the mini-spingold, and why do people choose to enter it instead of the real Spingold? mycroft
It's specifically limited to 5000 MP (there's a micro-Spingold, too, limited to 1500), and people enter it for two reasons: - they go to the Big Show, and don't want to play against the Big Boys- they intend to win the event. I have a good guess as to which of the two reasons the #84 seed has...
jkdood
Well - so far there's no mention of the Spingold 2008 semi-s or finalson the BBO VuGraph schedule, or anywhere? At the very least they should carry Round of 64 Lall vs lall!!!! (You can decide which team get's the Capital "L")

jkdood
well there's a DRAW and a formula (not all posted yet) and Justin just figured it out for himself (assuming likely or hopeful results along the way) the draw is at the ACBL site (see Brackets) but yes, not posted yet
cherdano
Assuming seeds 1-64 all qualify, then seed 1 plays seed 64, 2-63, etc.
