gwnn
Q753J73953AJ82 Opps bid at mp, we shut up 1♦-2♥3NT What do you lead? 2♥ showed a non-invitational hand with 5♠ and 4-5♥.
mikegill
I would lead a heart, whatever is systemic. RHO probably would have inquired about LHO's heart length if he were remotely interested. Surely RHO has the cK at least, so maybe partner can win and push clubs through him.
Tola18
Im also thinking about heart-lead. By the way, I believe this convention is called Garozzo, showing spades and hearts, 4-7 points or something like that. Non-invitional as you gwnn said. I met it the other day, the two Italian juniors missed a cold game. Responder had 7 points, ace and king.I joked it was all mr Garozzos fault. We get a good laught at that.I had no heart to tell him these 7 points were too pretty to bid this Garozzo negative bid with... :(
mike777
low club wow many leading a heart, must admit I would never have thought of that at the table...:(

RichMor
Low Club. Sounds like opener may have good Diamonds so we need to cash some fast tricks. Leading a Heart may set up some tricks for us but it will be too late.
mikeh
This is mps, not imps, and there is no reason to think that the auction won't end in 3N on most sequences: rho either has a long, strong diamond suit with a good hand or he has a balanced/semi-balanced 18+, with which he was going to bid 2N over 1♠, and LHO was probably going to check back anyway. This means that the sexy heart lead is probably an anti-field choice, and that is independent of the fact that Jxx is one of the most horrific holdings to lead from known to mankind. It gives up so many tricks on so many holdings that it is extremely dangerous. Just picture Qxxx in dummy and declarer with A10, for one simple layout. At mps, count me in for the normal club lead. At imps, I might opt for the heart because, dangerous tho it is, my hand suggests that the opps are probably making if we don't do something good early.. and I would (on paper, if not at the table) lead the heart J. BTW, the couple of times I have tried 'genius' leads like this, I have had horrible results...once it was the only lead to let a game make and the other time cost a couple of overtricks for no reason partner could see :(
