skjaeran
I'm surprised to see 100% votes for 6♦ here, to put it mildly. (Yes, only two votes, but still.) Parnter might easily have something like Qxxx AJx x ATxxx. I'm not sure if I'd double or bid here, but I'm certain that IF I bid, 6♦ wouldn't be my choise. I'd rather try 5NT - pick a slam. Fluffy
I would like to think that I didn't even consider 5NT because my partner at the time would have no clue of what it would mean, but I am sorry, it should be in the poll. jtfanclub
Parnter might easily have something like Qxxx AJx x ATxxx. We're not down yet! I have no idea how my partners would interpret 5NT. I don't want to find out.
Echognome
I would double. I do play it as responsive, although at these dizzying heights there's a good chance I'll be defending.
mikeh
5N is clear with any expert partner. With a non-expert, this is a real problem, but I would go with 6♦ because I would expect at least 1 4=4 fit and he is possibly 4=4=2=3 or the like, such that 5N will/should fetch the same call. Double may be the big winner but I like slam chances too much... and anyone who thinks that partner is pulling 5♦ is dreaming.. we're the one with the diamond void... (ok, he could be short as well, but I'm betting he has more diamonds than we do, and thus probably too many to pull). I say this as someone who likes to note negative and responsive doubles through 7♠
jtfanclub
5N is clear with any expert partner. Curious. What would you bid with a slam-going 3316? 6♣? Or 5NT? How about 4315? (Edit, yes, I know that's not enough info by itself...but in general).
mike777
I thought 5nt wtp Until I saw 5nt was not an option.

(Edit, yes, I know that's not enough info by itself...but in general). 3316 I would bid 6C if I'm strong enough to bid a slam. 4315 sounds more like a double. helene_t
dbl, second choice 6♣, 3rd choice 5NT, 4th choice monkey.
Fluffy
I am pretty sure my father would take 5NT as 2 places to play: clubs and another.
bid_em_up
5N for me as well. 6D is horrid (imo), as you preclude 6C as a valid contract.
Fluffy
I bid 6♦ wich had the downside to let LHO double to discourage partenr bidding any further, well, he did anyway, but oppponents weren't very good. partner had Kxxx, J10xx, Ax, Axx, hearts 4-1 meant no posibility to make any contract you bid. kfay
I say this as someone who likes to note negative and responsive doubles through 7♠ This treatment is poor, imo. Roger and I play them through 7♥, which I think is clearly superior.

analysismi
5NT. As long as it is followed by a natural bid it is fine. If your P thinks this is to play bid it anyway so they'll remember scrambling NTs (or 5NT pick a slam) the next time.
