everbright
Hi all, Does anyone know when the free Money Bridge Tournaments open for registration. I've tried to catch one, but always end up with a full table of 10 before I even tried :-(
tenbrvc
Hi Everbright, I believe registration opens 10 mins before the start time. You have to be quick as the 10 spots fill up very quickly. What I do is open the window showing the tournaments starting within the hour available say about 11 mins prior to start time -- 4 mins after the hour, or 26 mins before the hour. As soon as I see the tournament pop up, I get in and register. You usually only have a few seconds, or you won't make the top 10. I don't understand why BBO does not add more spots. Good luck! I’d say because the ‘free’ money bridge tournaments are designed as a sampler of the service you can purchase, giving away more would be counter productive. That is correct, but besides that there is a real cost to us to run these tournaments - the GIBs run on powerful and expensive server computers that we rent.
