You end up in 3NT by South. The auction was very questionable, but nonetheless, opponents passing throughout, it was 1-2-2-2-2NT-3NT. Leave me alone!

Anyway, you get a strange lead of the 10 of hearts. Now what?

I went for a line that made sense because of my opponents, which succeeded because of my opponents (I actually scored up 430 for a top). But, I'm curious as to what the "right" line is. And, yes, taking into account the form of scoring does make sense.

I would win the heart king and finesse the heart jack.

obviously.

If hearts don't split with 4 onside then I would play another heart rather than switching to clubs.

When you plauy the heart King, RHO plays the Queen under it. If you continue with another heart to the Jack, RHO confirms out. If you now play a club to the 10, RHO wins.

What if a spade comes back?

What if a low diamond comes back?

As I mentioned earlier, I think continuing hearts is much stronger than shifting to clubs. For starters we are guaranteed down 1 which is good (MP), and secondly they have a LOT of room to screw up the defense and let me make plus some legit chances. Shifting to clubs will make you go down several very often.
