inquiry
I can't seem to type players name into the chat box... it seems to only take 9 character names or less.... Is it just me?
fred
It's not just you - apparently it is a bug. Amazing that nobody noticed this before! Fred
matmat
It's not just you - apparently it is a bug. Amazing that nobody noticed this before! Fred this might have to do with the fact that i've never gotten this feature to work for me. i am too lazy to click the chat box i click a random name on the screen type in the name i want to send a message to into the little box on the top left type in my chat message and either press return or click chat the message gets sent to the original username that i clicked to bring up the chat dialog... when i found this out i just stopped trying to use this feature. (i guess if you go through clicking "chat" at the bottom of the window, things work ok)
Rossoneri
Usually prolonged conversations with individuals end up getting moved to MSN. I feel that the BBO interface just isn't friendly enough for one-to-one chats. Sorry Fred!
fred
Usually prolonged conversations with individuals end up getting moved to MSN. I feel that the BBO interface just isn't friendly enough for one-to-one chats. Sorry Fred! No need to be sorry - I suspect it goes the other way too - most people chatting on MSN Messenger who want to play bridge end up moving to BBO :) Private chat is one area in which BBOFlash is much improved over BBOWin. In BBOFlash, when another user's profile is displayed in a little window you can use that window to send private chat and to separate your private chat with that user from other chat. Essentially each of these profile popups is like a mini MSN Messenger window. Our interface for chatting is still not as powerful as MSN's (and no doubt never will be - after all, chat is the primary purpose of Messenger). But what we have done in this area is a big step forward IMO. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com
