Blackened
The person who opens the tables for team match (or tournament) can assign the minimum time taken for several situations. 1- The lead2- First card played from the dummy3- Making a call (including pass)4- Jumps This way, many ethical sitations will evaporate. Many will find these boring. That's ok, but at least others should have this option. Have no idea how difficult to implement these into BBO software. I'm sure that one day all major championships will be played through computers with the above ideas implemented one way or another.
pclayton
This is already more or less in place for F2F events. Somehow the idea of 'regulating' ethics through software controls bothers me. If there is a player in my tribe that leads quick singletons and slow doubletons, he will be taken off to the side. If this doesn't curb the behavior, their name will mysteriously disappear from TG requests. Furthermore, what if someone takes longer than the prescribed time?
