Juniors BBO holds a tourney every Tuesday (2PM EDT). Many mentors will play with juniors - to be assigned at Vdoubleu's table 40 minutes prior to start time.

Teaching Table on Wednesday's 11AM EDT (also at vdoubleu's table) - with special guest experts each week. "JuniorsBBO" will be on 30-40 minutes before to take reservations to play.

A site has been created for your use at: http://www.freewebs.com/juniorsbbo/index.htm

Please use this forum for ANY communications and/or suggestions about juniors.

I know I've mentioned this before, but are there any plans for events at a time more friendly for US juniors? All of the BBO Junior events seem to be scheduled during the middle of the school/work day. For me personally, 11 or 12PM GMT (e.g. 7 or 8 PM EST) would be ideal.

Agree, I would be happy to play in these events and really support what BBO Juniors does but 2PM eastern is not really managable for me  I understand you can't pick a good time for everyone in the world though.

Hi all :)

Thx for yr posts & suggestions.

We have discussed different start times for our Tues. Tourney &, at present, it is under consideration.

Bearing in mind that we are trying to cater to a worldwide community of players, all on different time zones, we, in no way, want to exclude Americans ;)

Looking forward to seeing you all at our events,

Valerie Westheimer

The standard on mentors is very good. Most are experts, many as I understand it are established nationals. Both female and male.

I´m in fact one of the few mere advanced.

But in other words - you dont must be a strong expert to be welcomed as mentor here. A sound advanced is useful, too. :)

I want also to mention the Jakon´s tourney on sundays during the school-term. 16 European time, 10 EDT. Partly the same people. Here too there is a partnerships room before the tournament.

Presumeably it will start again after the summer in Europe and North America is over...

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to say that it would be wonderful if we could put on more tourneys for the juniors, but we do have limited resources, so right now, we put on the time when we get most of the juniors.

As was stated, in the fall, we have Jakon's tourney on Sunday at 10AM-EDT/3PM-GMT. Jakob_R and HaakonEide (2 juniors) put this tourney on, so we hope the American juniors will support it.

I wish we had the people to put on more tourneys, but alas, our pay grade isn't high enough :P

Maybe in the future, things will change.
