What way is best play?

Ruff the club, ruff a heart high, trump to the 8, ruff a heart, ruff a club, ruff a heart, then run some trumps? Can't think of anything else really.

word.

Cross ruff clubs and exactly 3 hearts. If East shows out on the hearts somehow, then a lot of pressure can be applied when the rest of the spades are cashed. If West starts with at least 6 hearts and 3 or 4 diamonds (though that would mean it could have been off trick 1 if they had 4), he will be squeezed in the red suits when the final spade is cashed. This should still pick up the more balanced hands.

It also seems to pick up East for the squeeze if they start with at least 6 hearts, 3 diamonds and 2 clubs (though more is likely).

Opponent didn't compete. What way is best play?

If you ruff 3 x then you give yourself an extra slight theoretical chance when a lockjawed opponent was dealt 8+. IMO a better practical effort is to ruff the lead high, run your black winners, without revealing your void, and hope for a defensive error or Q doubleton/singleton.

The advantage of ruffing three hearts in hand is that if either hand has 6 hearts and the queen of diamonds he will be squeezed on the run of the trumps. You also get to find out if hearts are 7-2; if LHO has 7 hearts, 3 clubs and 2 spades you will know to take the diamond finesse

The disadvantage is that it tells the opponents you have a heart void. If you run all your winners without giving away the heart position, you may get a diamond discard from two low on your right which would be exceptionally helpful. (To the extent that if you don't, you should probably take the diamond finesse.) You know that RHO has the HA (unless you have unmistakably shown a void on the auction) so he may be in difficulty on the run of the trumps.

Which is better depends on what the auction was.

Run all of the trumps sluffing down to 2 diamonds on the board. Play out all of the clubs. Then play A of diamonds up to the KJ of diamonds intending to play the K....

In other words, conceal the heart void and make the opponents guess what to sluff.

Good opponents won't be fooled by this. Its obvious you don't have club losers since you aren't ruffing them on the board.

Its hard to measure the impact of concealing the heart void, however.

This is one of those problems where it pays to know if you have mentioned a heart void or not in the bidding. If you have, ruff 3 hearts and try to apply pressure. If not, concealment is going to work just fine.

When 2-2 break, no need to discuss about this hand.

If East had Q, just simple finesse then make.

But if anyone opponent had 6 cards of & 3(or 4) cards ?

We can try squezze & keep all chance.

Contract:7 by South

West firstlead :8[/hv]

We need 3 entries to dummy for ruff (except A, cause that is squezze entry)

But dummy have 8 only....how to cross to dummy?

Right!! RUFF YOUR HONOR!!

So dummy ruff firstlead then criss-cross ruff & , still to like this one case :

Running your all trump, West squezzed.

This way is correct too when East hold 6-cards & 3-cards . ^_^
