I think that reading and rereading and rerereading and rererereading (...) old issues of BW is an outstanding way to improve one's game - particularly about the judgment situations. Would add that the more relevant stuff to todays game are the newer issues. The older stuff is fun to read but obviously a lot of the ideas have become obsolete.
