By agreement, 2 diamonds is a 5 card suit and a weak hand. After that it appears the opps have had a bit of a misunderstanding. Do you whack this? I don't expect them to make, so -510 should be relatively rare.And, I think it won't be uncommon for best defense to keep them to 8 tricks, for 300 if we double. But, most likely with single-dummy defense we won't get all of our tricks, and doubling for one down is not sensible. neilkaz Posted May 11, 2008 Report Share Posted May 11, 2008 Pass... at IMPs I think this is favorite to get set, but certainly not enough gain to justify doubling them into game as our trumps are weakish, we likely only contribute 1 trick to defence, and the opps just might have 8♣ and 22 HCP and make 10 tricks.
