kgr
IMP'sP-(2C)-DBL-(2S)3D-(P)-4C-(P)4H-(P)-??- - 2C=weak with both majors or something strongDBL over 2C=shows C, but no clear agreement with partner if it also shows desire to DBL a major and not clear if DBL of 2S would be takeout or penatly (probably takeout).2S=preference for S- - What is 4H and what do you call with your hand : Qxx=AJxx=v=AKJxxx
jtfanclub
Why did I bid 4♣ and not 3♥? I thought partner didn't hear me the first time? Now I think I'm screwed. I've shown a much stronger hand than I actually have. I think that anything higher than 4♥ is going down, so I may as well pass. 4♥ should have a small shot. whereagles
Pass, I guess. If pard wanted to cue or something, tell him to bid spades afterwards.

jdonn
Why did I bid 4♣ and not 3♥? I thought partner didn't hear me the first time? I have to agree. Didn't we already show clubs? And we can make a cheap bid to show an unbid major?
Codo
I showed a club onesuiter so far and surely denied any heart length. So 4 Heart could not be to play. Pd did bid Diamonds first, so he must have a 6-5 hand in the reds to make 4 Heart natural. Possible, but not likely. And I would guess that he may had opened a hand that is strong enough to bid 4 Heart on a possible misfit. ( I bet Koen has some weird two suiter openings in his repertoire.) I go with the idea that 4 Heart is forwardgoing and shows a control. I have nothing to add and settle for 5 Club. I play pd for something around Jx, Kx,QJxxxx,Qxx so that I may survive. (Hope dies last)
P_Marlowe
Hi, 4H is a cue, 4C did set trumps. For that matter overcall 3C the next timeand make your life easier. With kind regardsMarlowe
catatonic
well , just ask yourself what your pt knows you hold club lengthyou don't hold hearts [ cheap bid of 3 hearts was available ]the opener had weak major 2 suiter you can't support diamondsyou know opener has the weak major 2 suiter therefore 4 hearts was ? kgr
[hv=d=n&n=skhxdajxxxxcqxxxx&s=sqxxhajxxdcakjxxx]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv]P-(2C)-DBL-(2S)3D-(P)-4C-(P)4H-All Pass :P(4H-3, -11 IMP's)..It would have been easier if I had bid 3H iso 4C, If my partner had bid 4C iso 3D, 4S iso 4H...But I have 2 more questions and would appreciate you advice:1. Do you have any rules - beside logic - to determine that 4H is cue and not natural (I expected some 2=4=6=2, LHO did preference S and could be short in H?).2. How do you bid these hands to 6C?
