I won't muddy the waters with any Q bids and just put the do we bid 5♦ or not question to the opps quickly. I don't expect PD to have a hand too good to overcall 2♣ when I hold 8 HCP and both opps bid routinely. Our NV opponents will probably save at these colors, and we'll have to deal with that later. We also might have a slam opposite the right non-minimum. 4♥ doesn't set up a forcing pass for me, and I'd rather have that available. Yet, I can't bring myself to bid 3♦ or 4♦. FWIW I certainly intend to double if they bid on. Even 4♥ may have been down, and when they are w/r they will save on anything so I'm very confident doubling them.
