Trumpace
Hi,When you refer to people in posts, please use the login name and not the real name (or both if you do want to use the real name), especially if there is no immediate way to connect the two without reading the whole Who's Who thread. For instance (I think I know) The_Hog's real name is Ron. See this thread: http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?showtopic=25235 but people who don't might think Ron Klinger is being referred to in some posts (his name was mentioned too). Thanks. gwnn
I disagree. It's friendlier to use given names. And it's not very hard to understand who is referring to whom.

cherdano
Posters can add their real name in their signature, or in the "member name" on the left. Meanwhile, I would rather refer to your real name, than calling you "Trumpace"... :)
TimG
Posters can add their real name in their signature, or in the "member name" on the left. Not everyone can add their name on the left. If you put your name in your signature, some of us don't see it (because we don't view signatures). Some long signatures prompted me to turn that option off a while ago. pclayton
Hi I'm Phil. Not Phil Donahue, Phil Spector, Phil Mickelsen, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Collins or Dr. Phil. Please don't confuse me with anyone else named Phil.

Elianna
At least no one will confuse my real name with anyone else's :) I may trump you there. :) ETA: I agree with everyone. It's friendlier to use first names, especially if one knows the people in real life. However, it does create a clique-like atmosphere where those who don't know which name corresponds with each username are outsiders. That doesn't seem really friendly. I have no solution. han
Well, I really really like first names. As a compromise I'll give some first names here for those who care: Elianna = Eliannapclayton = Phil (or Clayton)jdonn = Josh (or Jdown)mikeh = MikeFluffy = Gonzalo (or any of about a dozen misspellings)mike777 = Mikecherdano = Arendjlall = Justinawm = Adamsceptic = Waynekenrexford = Ken (or Rexford)fred = FredUday = UdayRain = Rainfranceshinden = FrancesThe Hog = RonEchognome = Matt (or gnome)jchiu = Jason (or ch00)jtfanclub = Matthew42 = CarenTimG = Timjillybean = KathrynWinstonm = Winstongnasher = Andymatmat = matmat (according to Elianna)P_Marlowe = Marlowegwnn = Csabaewj = EdMickyb = MikeBrianshark = BrianWhereagles = NunoBenLessard = BenFree = Frederickcardsharp = Paulkeylime = DwayneGerben42 = Gerbenmikestar = Mikekgr = KoenBlofeld = OwenApollo81 = NobleRogerclee = Rogerhrothgar = Richardinquiry = BenRitong = Henri653321 = anonymous, male, 40'sRob F = Robjoshs = Joshkfay = KevinHelene_t= Helene (or Helenuh)han = Han If this is the in-crowd then it doesn't seem like the bouncer is doing his job very well. I'd say more than half of these people should have been stopped at the door.
