(P) - 2 - (Dbl) - 4

(P) - P - (Dbl) - P

(5) - All Pass[/hv]

You are playing a six board swiss teams matches.

You have agreed udca with partner, 3rd/low leads against suits.

You lead the K with partner contributing the 9 and declarer small.

What now? (hidden continuations)

Option 1) Play another heart.

Declarer will ruff, partner playing his smallest heart. Declarer will then play the T - small - small to you. What now?

Option 2) Play your spade.

The spade will go to the Q with partner playing the 2 (encouraging). Declarer will then play the T - small - small - to you. What now?

Option 3) Play a club.

Declarer will win in dummy, partner contributing the T. He will then play A and another diamond to his Q. Over to you.

Option 4) Play a trump.

Are you mental?

Couldn't I have led my singleton at trick one?

Having not done that, it seems pretty obvious to switch to it at trick 2.

Now when the trump comes to us, we're in trouble:

i) we can win and tap dummy but ruffs high draws trumps, runs clubs .

ii) we can duck, but then he cashes the DA and runs clubs

iii) We can win and play a minor but that seems a bizarre defence, he just draws trumps and cashes winners - I can't believe that partner has a club void when he encouraged spades.

Having started on this route, the best chance I can see now is to tap dummy and hope declarer goes wrong (if declarer has Q97xx of diamonds he has to guess what to do) but I'm not very hopeful.
