paulhar
[hv=d=n&v=b&s=sj72hq4d8765c7543]133|100|--- 1H P P1S 2C 2S ??[/hv] Partner opens 1H, passed around to LHO who balances with 1S. Partner bids 2C and RHO raises to 2S. Your call? Both are vul.
helene_t
What's the purpose of 2♣ if I'm not supposed to raise with 4-card support? And with the Q in p's suit I have a decent hand. 3♣ is clear.
han
Ditto Helene.
kenrexford
I would bid 3♣. I wonder, though, whether 2NT here is Lebensohl (or should be), in which case I would bid 2NT. If Leb applies, 3♣ should look like Qx in hearts and Qxxx in clubs.
jdonn
3♣ get the hand off my chest nicely.
neilkaz
I passed the first time so PD knows that I don't have 5 good points, I think 3♣ now is a bit of a stretch, but support with support and maybe the opps are off 1 in 3♠ if they bid it or maybe 3♣ makes. I don't criticize anyone who passes here.
whereagles
3♣ seems fair now.

Ditto I was vaguely wondering as Ken said what 2NT should be here. My general rule with my partners is that 2NT is 'lebensohl' / 'good/bad' (whatever) when you might still have game on, and scrambling/two places to play when you can't. On this auction you can't have game on* so therefore by our rules it is two places to play. Maybe 1363, offering hearts & diamonds? Or 1264 offering diamonds and clubs? Or, at matchpoints, 2344 offering clubs or hearts? *unless you have an enormous club fit which can be shown in various easy ways
