babalu1997
We all know at least one! What do you call people who forward 12-15 emails to your box everyday? I am not talking about spammers, i am talking about your dear old aunt, or your dear old boss who sends you : ** chain letters** warnings so you don't get sick or injured** advice on how to save money** poems and songs Then when you don't respond they ask: Did you not like the beautiful video if the cat that plays with butterflies?how about the joke about the guy who does not floss? what do you call them? Mail- bombers? :D
helene_t
spam-forwarders, or spam-carriers. sr for my lack of fantasy, there probably exists a more imaginative word. If it is viruses they forward, you could call them viral vectors.

kenberg
12-15 a day is more than I have had to contend with but I know what you mean. My current pet peeve is these forwarded emails that, at the end, say "if you agree send this on, if you don't just delete". I take this as saying "I am going to tell you what I think but don't get the idea that I am actually starting a conversation or give a rat's ass what you think. Just read what I think." Usually "think" is a misnomer, they are just sending along some nonsense, usually right wing nonsense although the left is not exempt from this character defect. Even one of my quite conservative friends has expressed exasperation with this stuff. He doesn't want to upset folks back home but he has had enough of it. I got one a few days ago suggesting that since someone (I didn't know this and don't care) is trying to get the Post Office to remove signs saying "In God we trust" from their buildings we should all start writing this on the back of our envelopes. I replied that I thought writing their religious beliefs, and any other beliefs they may have, on the back of envelopes was a really fine idea. And I suggested that if he agrees, pass it on, otherwise just delete. I haven't received anything more from him.
Al_U_Card
e-nnoyers? stuff-ers? spam pushers? too much time on their hand-ers? e-loners?
mycroft
Ignorable? Procmail is your friend. After she sends me a couple of emails that are actually important that I ignore, and she complains, it will be very clear what the escalation of my "stop sending me this crap" email is.
