I had this hand and I remember I saw a similar hand in one of cayne team matches where the holder x after opener bid 1s not sure if was second seat or same as here. hrothgar Posted April 18, 2008 Report Share Posted April 18, 2008 As the previous poster notes, you have three (semi) reasonable choices 1. 2♠ showing Spades2. 1NT showing 15+ - 18 balanced3. Pass denying a bunch of hand types I think that your hand is significantly too weak to consider 1NT I'd prefer a sixth spade for 2♠, but I wouldn't squawk too loundly if partner bid this Pass is certainly permissible Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
