effervesce
Playing in the Open Interstate Teams Selection stage II trials, you hold [hv=d=w&v=n&s=sqj97542hjdaq4caj]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] as dealer. You open 1♠, precision, 11-15 5+ suit. Partner responds 1NT, 5-12, forcing. Your rebid?

pclayton
3♠ is plenty for me. This hand has too much missing and if pard can't act over 3, I don't think we have anything.
andy_h
3S. Since we are limited, this is about what we can have. 4S is too much if partner can't act over 3S.
Free
4♠, if it wasn't for the 2 Aces and poorly placed honours I would've opened 4♠ already
skjaeran
3♠ 24/7.
effervesce
Bidding 4♠ payed off this time. The full hand: [hv=d=w&v=n&n=sthk72dj8763cq653&w=sqj97542hjdaq4caj&e=s8haq9854d52ct942&s=sak63ht63dkt9ck87]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 4♠ made five after a heart lead, hooked, diamond finesse and ruff. Echognome
Bidding 4♠ payed off this time. Overbidding normally pays off when two hooks work, you get a favorable lead and trumps behave nicely (yes they were 4-1, but the stiff T falling was nice). jdonn
Do you really want to be in this game? You're more likely to go down in 2 than you are to make 4.
