dbsboy
[hv=s=sakxxhxxdxckjxxxx]133|100|[/hv] Playing 2/1. Partner opened 1D, then rebid 2D. I'm new to 2/1, so I didn't know what to do.... I tried 3C. But I knew it's a bad bid. What should I bid?
TylerE
What was your FIRST bid?
helene_t
This is a really awkward hand. Not that it's much easier in SAYC than in 2/1 - with less than GF strength you are supposed to bid 1♠ rather than 2♣ even if 2♣ is not a game force. BTW it is not obvious that 2/1 GF applies after a 1♦ opening. You will have to make agreements with p about the 1♦-2♣ sequence since different 2/1 styles treat this differently. I think you choice after 2♦ is between pass and 3♦, somewhat depending on partner's style. If he would have jumped to 3♦ with 15 points, I would chicken out now. P_Marlowe
Hi, After 1D bid 2C, followed by 2S. If you play, that 2C after 1D is game forcing, which is not played by all players, and the hand is an example, why this is not always done, bid1S, and pass 2D.The alternative is, that you show an inv. handwith clubs. My best recommendation is, buy a good book,e.g. from Mike Lawrence. With kind regardsMarlowe
