vuroth
If playing SAYC, pass. Partner just limited her hand. If playing 2/1, I'm not sure. With RHO showing some spades, 3NT might be dicey. The only way I see partner forcing game and RHO having his/her double is if partner is strongly 2-suited in the minors, in which case we're likely headed for 5♦. jdonn
Pass if sayc, 3NT if 2/1 gf.
jillybean
3nt is very tempting
P_Marlowe
3 NT. It does not matter if playing SAYC or 2/1.I am more concerned about missing 6 thanabout being to low, because I am not 100% sure, that I can pass 3D playing SAYC. With kind regardsMarlowe
jocdelevat
I should have ask what 3d from pard means. Why 3d and not pass ?
jillybean
I should have ask what 3d from pard means. Why 3d and not pass ? 2♣ promises a rebid, I'd hope partner has 5♣/4♦ and invitational values
jtfanclub
I should have ask what 3d from pard means. Why 3d and not pass ? Can't pass it- in both SAYC and 2/1, 2♣ promises a rebid. Honestly, I would have passed the double, although I'm sure I'm in the minority again. I don't think the diamonds are worth showing, and after the X, I don't have to. the hog
Totally agree with the 2D bid. Also agree that playing Acol I would pass now and playing 2/1 I would bid 3NT.

I don't think the diamonds are worth not showing. Partner made a forcing bid. Bidding the cheapest four-card suit when the auction has not been disturbed is just normal cooperation. If I pass partner will assume I do not have four semi-decent diamonds. Occasionally that will matter.
