glen
This came up today in a morning match. Partner opens 1♠, Blue Team Club + Benito's 1M-3m Roman Jump Raises, your bid? hrothgar
2♠ seems best to me as well (Especially given that Better Bidding with Bergen discusses a mildly constructive single raise structure) I'm shocked to see votes for 3m... Distorting your hand and promising a missing 4th trump seems questionable at the best of times. Doing so with 3=3=4=3 seems especially bizzarre. Finch
I would show this as a 4-card limit raise. I do actually have a fourth trump, hrothgar. If partner opens on random balanced 11-counts with no aces I would bid 2S.
jtfanclub
Why would I bid 2♠? I have a 15 count.
Walddk
I think 2♠ is enough despite the fact that I have ♣1. If it's a joker and I can put it where I like, I will let it be a spade and treat it as limit. Roland
Walddk
Why would I bid 2♠? I have a 15 count. I assume you count ♣1 as an ace, fair enough. Roland
whereagles
huh..? the hand changed completely! What happnened? Funny thing is.. I still bid 2♠ :)
Finch
huh..? the hand changed completely! What happnened? me too. what happened to my 4th spade? how come it had 4 spades when whereagles posted and when I posted, but not (I assume) when hrothgar posted in the middle... and now it doesn.t Now I bid 2S
helene_t
Couldn't find any bidding theory for this kind of 15-counts with four trumps including a joker which turns out to be a club. So I abstain.

What happnened? me too. what happened to my 4th spade? how come it had 4 spades when whereagles posted and when I posted, but not (I assume) when hrothgar posted in the middle... and now it doesn.t Now I bid 2S 4 spades? han
Well, right now it shows 4 trumps again.
kfay
I see only 3 trumps, AKQ. But I do see the ♣1. 2♠
rbforster
Well, right now it shows 4 trumps again. Or then again, maybe not. Sounds like a vote with dubious value - we've got enough polling irregularities around here to be an honorary district of Florida!
Walddk
I don't know what others see, but i still see ♠ AKQ♥ J103♦ J753♣
hrothgar
I really hope that Glen isn't wasting everyone's time with an ill considered April Fool's day joke...
jdonn
I am enjoying this thread greatly so far. Maybe "Non-Natural" in the forum title refers to the vortex of the universe in which this ever-changing hand with imaginary cards exists. han
I don't know what others see, but i still see ♠ AKQ♥ J103♦ J753♣ 841 Yeah, now it's this hand again, stop it Glen!
Trinidad
Congratulations Glen! The "Miracles of Evolution" story is pretty good too. Rik
