uday
What version of the Flash player are you running? Find out here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ Where should you download the latest Flash player ? http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
barmar
I signed on to BBOTV, and it said there were no Vugraphs currently, and I should click on the Vugraph Schedule button above. There's no such button. Why does BBTV need that big "Click here" button to sign on? Why not just go straight into BBO? It's not like BBOFlash, where you have to enter a password and can click on options.
Bridgebum_
I played a few hands and to my unartistic eye, the colors and layout look great.I like the floating box for private chat, works well.

It's not like BBOFlash, where you have to enter a password and can click on options. The reason for the "click here" button is to prevent the various automated programs that scan the web from logging in to BBO automatically upon visiting the BBOTV launch page. helene_t
The underscore (my favorite character  ) is now vissible in the log in screen. It is currently not stable, I tried to open it in another window but there it wasnt stable either. I lose connection all the time. Could be my connection or my browser. Ubuntu Gutsy, Firefox. Uday had the same problem when he tried it under Linux (not sure which flavor/browser), but Gerardo had no problems on his Linux machine. Gerardo is really our Linux expert - maybe he can make a suggestion, but most likely it will be the usual (try another browser, make sure you have the latest...). In the mean time, I suspect that if you upgrade to IE7 you will be OK. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com
firmit
Wow - this is really something! Flash version is surpassing the client IMO.

Ant590
Very nice indeed - not tried anything clever on it yet but a huge improvement on the V4, and almost better than the client =D I've not tried, but presumably to open a new table with just yourself you need to fill the boxes with something? This seems slightly awkward. Also, same gripe with lack of p'ship bidding (and I know you already addressed this in the last thread so don't feel like you need to repeat yourself!). Many thanks for releasing,Ant. [edit]: removed repeating client twice
uday
Gabor visit this link http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ that contains a little flash box that tells you what version of flash you are running 1. does it work?2. what version of flash are you running? We have an idea that might help but first try the link above and let us know what you find Helene, I had the same prob w/feisty. The link above told me I was running a back level version of flash. The latest version of flash is "version 9,0,115,0 " Gerardo, who runs a more recent version of both ubuntu and flash has no trouble of this sort. I'm trying to upgrade my own ubuntu to gibbon. ( perhaps I should have just tried to update my flash player - sheesh) but so far all I've managed to do is cut myself. Blind squirrels shouldn't play with sharp nuts, or something like that :) anyway, when i get it going I'll find out if that was the problem. Many thanks for releasing,Ant. After you click "Play. Watch. Browse." there are a few ways you can start a table. If you then click "Play - find a game" and reserve a seat for yourself that will do the trick. You can also click "Browse all tables", then "Public clubs". You will see "Start new table" buttons in various places after that. These buttons will allow you to start a table using the same sort of mechanism that is used in BBOWin. Glad you like the program. Suspect you will like it more as you discover some of the other features we have added :) Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com

uday
Thanks gabor. Try this test/temp link http://swf.bridgebase.com/temp/gabor/gabor.html Do you see the login screen on this link ? If you see the login screen, that will tell me what is going on.. Note: even if you do, this is a play version, and i'll remove it and make a real version (this one will be crippled even if you login)

The first method I mentioned is not a good way to start an empty new table. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com

uday
Helene I definitely don't know what I'm talking about, but upgrading to the latest flash player seems to have solved the weird spontaneous disconnection problem (fingers still crossed, mind you). http://www.funnestra.org/ubuntu/gutsy/#flashplayer Has some information on it. I don't know enough to know whether I can endorse that solution but I bumbled thru it myself and I seem to be on the latest version now, and this version doesn't seem to suffer that disc problem
Bridgebum_
There are a lot new functions and it will take a little getting used to for me, but it certainlyhas a "complete" feel to it. Like I said before, I like the user info/private chat pop-up. However, when you move thecursor off the box, it disappears. Then, you have to click on the user name again to makeit pop up. There was some lag when I joined a table to play. No cards appeared right away, and then arush of bidding stopping at me.

Sorry this is not more obvious. I think the lag you experienced when joining a table was the result of a bug that has now been fixed. It is likely that there will be at least one nore new version released within the next few days.
