luke warm
sys:2 over 1 Dealer: South Vul: N/S Scoring: IMP ♠ AQ8732 ♥ A7 ♦ K ♣ KQ104 ♠ K64 ♥ KQJ1098 ♦ AQ54 ♣ [space] North South 1♥ 1♠ 2♦ 3♣ 3♠ 4NT 5♥ 6♠ // 4NT=RKC my question is:1. 2♦ foring? do you agree 3♥or3♦?2.what the strength 3♠ show support?3.if south second round jump to 3♠,is that foring to game?4.if south second round jump to 3♥or3♦?,how to find 7♠or 7♥? :D thanks :) 1) i'd say 2♦ is not forcing, 3♦ would be, 3♥ can be passed but is highly invitational 2) 3♠ usually would show 17, 18 points 3) no, but in practice it'd be hard to pass 4) i don't know :P ... after 3♦ it looks like 4♥ has to be bid, same after 3♥, tho i guess you could go straight to rkc... Free
I think 5H is wrong, he should respond 5NT, showing two key cards and no club. EXACTLY my thought! 5NT or 6♣, whatever your agreement is of o/e keycards is. Partner will always know you have a void ♣...
Trpltrbl
1 ) 2♦ is not forcing, 3♥ is showing nice hand but still not forcing. With this hand I think you have to bid 3♦ you have fit for pd's suit, your ♥ suit is a 1 loser suit, and you have a void in a unbid suit. 2 ) 3♠ is just showing 3 card support, pd's 3♣ is 4th SF. 3 ) No, but very very strongly invites. 4 ) After 3 ♥ North can bid 4NT as RKCB, South bidding 5 NT showing 2 aces and a void, which can't be in ♠. North should be able to bid 7♥ now, where can pd have his points, he must have K of ♠. But is not easy, but 7 ♥ is saver contract then 7♠ Mike :D
