dake50
On this auction, Partner has Hearts; RHO has Spades; I have K+K+K behind RHO; 6-5 distribution; as last gasp even Kx if partner can rebid long Hearts. This is GF hand start bidding out my shape 3C now, 4D next, unless partner goes for H-slam (okay for that).I even think a Spade exclusion ask may be warranted after 4D and 4H from partner. Surely if 3C gets 4C raise.

han
Your politeness scares me Deep. I would bid 3C, forcing to game. I know I'm really light for this in terms of HCP but I hope my distributional will make up for it, there is a good chance for a fit in hearts, diamonds or clubs. And even in 3NT we might take a fair number of tricks, I'm planning to sit for it if partner bids it immediately. No need to thank me for my response, interesting hand. I think that we're guaranteed an 8 card fit after a 1♥ opening. Its unclear whether we'll be able to diagnose it below 3NT (For example, assume that the auction starts 1♥ - (2♠) - 3♣ - (P)3N We can't be sure whether or not we have an eight card Diamond fit or a Club fit) In any case, I think that the hand is strong enough to GF. I'm happy to bid 3♣. I don't like double because I'm going to be miserable if partner converts...
cherdano
I think this is a good hand to follow the "don't double with a void" rule.
