2 uh decisions

1. I am allergic to Zar points, this hand is borderline to open. I don't think that either 1 or Pass is wrong. Never ever 2 though, but I'm sure you know that yourself. I love questions without wrong answers!

2. 3 if that's the forcing variation in your Lebensohl, then 4 over 3NT from pd.

1) I pass. With all those major suit cards there will never be a problem to enter the bidding. Had I held the minors instead I would be more tempted.

2) Whatever your system tells you to bid showing a forcing -bid. Will not pass 3NT as I think we're in the slam-zone

In my own system I would open the actual hand with 2, but not showing weak 2 but both majors and BELOW opening strength. I would pass the second hand as we have no bid to show weak 2.

Your theoretical hand I would gladly open a weak 2 if available in the system. That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to open 1 of a suit if you add a little strength. I like to have full values for my opening bids. Hate to see partner's disappointment when laying down a dummy which doesn't agree with his expevtations. If we end up in a NT-contract partner might not be happy, expecting more

Sure, you can enter the bidding later, but to suggest it will always be safe is an overbid.

1. KTxx QJ8xxx x Ax IMPs w/w - your opening bid?

2. AK9xxx x Qx KQxx. IMPs r/w. Pard opens 15 17 NT and RHO bids 2H  (capp). What is your plan?

1) If 1H is your style, thats fine, but its not mine, I pass.

2) I'm bidding 4H ( xfr) now, followed by 5C (if I can).

Gak. If I open this hand Ekren, which I presume you are referring to, my partner jumps across the table and beats me with a stick. Its wrong shapewise (wanna play 2S with xxx xx opposite?) and strength wise at this vulnerability.

I know im a junior, but i'll open Ekren with K10xx K10xx x xxxx 1st NV. Surely assumed fit methods work best when you dont lie to partner about the shape and strength of your hand? Given your later statement-

Hate to see partner's disappointment when laying down a dummy which doesn't agree with his expevtations.

I argue this is exactly what you're doing opening this Ekren.
