Any call?

Somewhere I saw the proposal that

(1)-pass-(2)-pass

(pass)-2

shows a classical t/o of hearts while dbl would be more minor oriented. Since a natural 2 is "impossible" be a hand that couldn't overcall immediately.

By the same token, 4 should show this hand. But ok, that doesn't give p the option of defending 4 so I suppose I have to double with this hand.

Fishbein comes back? I like it.

If you have a classical t/o of hearts, you dbl 1, no? :) I prefer that this 2 shows 4 cards and heart length.

OK but you could have classical shape but being too weak for that. Or maybe you have spades plus one minor. (obviously this needs to be clarified, lest p takes out you spades/clubs 2 bid to 3).

"Light it up yo."

Translation please; I have no idea what this means.

I'll bet you could work out it doesn't mean pass. Especially given the statement that followed the one you quoted.

Yes I did gather that there was a X coming. Still don't know what it means though.

Surely they have slang in Laos as well!

Yeah they do, but unfortunately I am very slow in picking up Laos. Interestingly though, some of the Laos idiomatic expressions are almost identical to those we use in English.

eg "Two faced" is "two headed" in Laos .
