This obviously depends on partner's level of aggresion in second seat and on his weak options.

My partners would open all balanced 12 point hands and unbalanced 11 point hands. Furthermore, they could have shown a weak (5-10) hand with 5 spades and a minor (2) or a weak hand with 45+ in the majors (2) or weak two in a major (2). Therefore, if we have a nine card spade fit, the hand will either be balanced (5(332)), or his spade suit will be lousy or he won't have 5 hcp's. So for practical purposes, the best that can happen to us by doubling is that we find a 4-4 spade fit or a 5-3 heart fit.

Given those conditions (which will not apply to everyone), I would pass relatively happily.
