pclayton
3♣. I didn't like the choice of the player who held this hand, although more clubs might prompt a call from hyper aggressive opps. We have a lot of bits and pieces that are useful for defense.
Guest Jlall
Just an FYI, han messed this hand up a little. The opening bid was PASS. You are w/r and you opened in 2nd seat (you are not red/white).

Phil, I think given that this hand is a big double fit (partner has at most 3-3 majors), it is far more common that both 4C and 3M being makers than that 3M and 4C are going down. So I think it is an error to be willing to sell to 3M by the opponents.

awm
This is a great hand for non-forcing gerber. 4♣.

Codo
With something like QTx, KJxx,Qxxx,xx my pd had surely bid 1 NT over 1 Club X, so I don't see why he must have at most 3-3 in the majors. But he surely has honours in the majors, so I just bid 3 Club and leave the final descission to him.
Fluffy
This is a great hand for non-forcing gerber. 4♣. I give up, agree with Adam. Even if he uses the G word he knows how to use it.

Cascade
3♣ for better or worse 4♣ would be a better hand for us.
whereagles
They got dbl fit in the majors and our 5♣ may be a phantom... hum... I'll just bid a confident 3♣ for the moment. Will sell out to 3M.
