I would go with 4NT, but wont be surprised, if pass is right, afterall 3H should be stronger than 4H. #2 Pass, no second choice. give him AKQxxxx and the king of diamonds, and opening bid, and slam has no chance at all. whereagles Posted March 25, 2008 Report Share Posted March 25, 2008 hand 2 is a clear pass. hand 1 also because if pard were interested in slam, he'd have bid 2/3♥ instead. Your method is what I usually play, but some people would open 2♣ with just about any 9 to 10 trick hand with very long ♥.
