2N: grope.

I expect partner to read this: this 2N will rarely be needed as natural, while the grope usage will be common: I will more often hold this hand or a 4=1=4=4 hand than 2 spade stoppers, and a desire to play 2N.

I don't pass: the auction strongly suggests that either declarer has 7 spades or that dummy has a couple, and dummy also rates to have an entry or two.... the auction doesn't suggest a broke dummy. I might risk a pass at mps at this heat, but never at imps. Declarer will be able to play almost double-dummy if I pass.

Partner will prototypically be 1=6=3=3, and should rebid 3 with that... with 1=5=4=3, he'll bid 3 and I will bid 3. But with 1=5=3=4, he'll bid 3 and I will pass with a sigh of relief.

If I thought that he might misunderstand 2N, I'd bid 3 as a least of evils bid.

So with 1633 partner bids... 3C right? Since you would bid 2N with 3145 or w/e as well.

That being said partner could be 2524 or 1534 so I like 2N, just throwing out that it isn't perfect.
