gwnn
2♥ shows 6+ hearts and a minimum opener (like 11-15 or so) 2♦ shows 5+♥, 4+♦, unclear range (~11-18). The second bid fits your hand much better
Codo
It is an ongoing debatte what is better: Some prefer to show the 6. major cardIn polish club your rebid depends on the overall strength, with a weak hand, you rebid your major, else you show your minor. I prefer the way Csaba mentioned: Show your shape as often as possible.
Cascade
I'm for 2♦. Actually curiously I am for 2♦ on both hands. With 15 points responder has no reason not to bid his longest suit first. 1♥ 2♦3♠ ... where 3♠ is a splinter should lead to slam somewhere. Yes I didn't look at the N hand properly. 2♦ is very very obvious on the N hand.

brianshark
Some sources advocate that if you are minimum, you should rebid your 6 card suit beofre showing your 4 card suit (because it keeps the auction lower) and with extras, you rebid your 4 card suit before "reversing" back into your 6 card suit. benlessard
2D could even be bid with 6H and 3D (in imps) with a hand that is too strong for 2H and with H too bad for 3H. Some will disagree but its expert standard.

P_Marlowe
Hi, rebidding your 6 carder instead of showing your 2nd suit a 4 carder is an question of style. Now the question is 2H or 3H, and the answerto that one is 3H, at least for me.Sry, the high quality of the hearts suit is enough compensation for any missing high card power. And after a 3H bid, your partner wont stop below 6H. With kind regardsMarlowe

This is a fairly standard way of distinguishing between a "good" 6-4 and a "minimum" 6-4.
