rogerclee
Pass both times. We already preempted; I don't see any reason to offer up 800 or more.

skjaeran
Passing is clear to me on both scenarios. I'm not saving with such a balanced hand - it's handing them 800 when they haven't got a slam and not very preemptive (yeah, LHO can't bid 4m, I know). finally17
The mere fact of a 4 card support for a preempt qualifies as a super-fit? Seems the term is lacking something then. Btw, I'm passing with the rest and with ease.
pclayton
I think its a reasonable strategy if you decide never to make a call (unless forced) with an 11 loser hand.
mikeh
A clear pass. It is a beginner's error (and a common one) to overbid with length when partner preempts. Suport is great to have, but only when it either negates trump losers, which it won't here after the 3N call, or when it allows declarer to ruff losers in dummy. Maybe, just maybe, opener is 7-4, and we get to score 1 trick. I wouldn't hold my breath :) Picture partner with a perfect hand: KQJ109xx and some 321 outside. We can't contribute a single trick to him.. not one. So we lose 7 tricks, and we can predict this before we bid. (Ok, maybe our Q will score a trick, but that is against the odds). andy_h
a) definitely pass, who says they'll go slamming? Since 3NT contains a wide range of hands, let them figure it out themselves. B) Pass again. Don't want to be going for -800. They may not even know what their system is over the 3NT.
