Vanderbilt from Detroit

In order to pre-empt any questions regarding the Vanderbilt from Detroit (March 9-15), this is what I got from Rick Beye today:

 

We have a meeting on VuGraph later this week. I'll try to have a proposed schedule for you by the weekend.

 

At this point our vugraph schedule web page looks pretty empty, but it won't be long until we have another six broadcasts listed: Poland, Norway(2), Portugal, USA and Scotland. Many more to follow needless to say.

At the moment our best guess is we'll be covering the Quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals of the Vanderbilt, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There's a small chance we will also be able to cover the Round of 16.

 

Anyone who's in Detroit and might be interested in being a Vugraph operator for part of the Vanderbilt, please send an email to Jan Martel (marteljan at gmail dot com) and let me know when you are available. Thanks.

Starting times for segments 2 and 4 all three days are approximate. In all likelihood we will be broadcasting from four tables (two matches) in the quarters and semis (both matches), and two tables in the finals.
