Interesting side note on the economy - the hedge funds are receiving margin calls and many have frozen redemptions - meaning you cannot get your money out.

 

A lot of these hedge funds are the counterparty on Credit Default Swaps (CDS), a type of insurance against bond defaults. In theory a good idea, but in practice this market became a casino where betting on the swaps overcame the swaps reason to exist in the first place.

 

More ugliness ahead for the debt timebomb that is ticking away.
