another 3nt question

We have more than a minimum opening so we should bid game.

 

3 would show the same sort of hand only weaker and not forcing.

 

Therefore 3NT is clear.

 

I guess someone might play some fancy gadget to show the spade shortage in case partner has Axx and no A in which case 5 could be better.

I would bid 3H and let partner judge what to do. You are giving away info about the lead this way, but they are probably always leading a spade and a heart wont be fatal usually given that partner has a stopper as well. I think 5D could easily be the right spot so I want to let pard into the game.

I didnt like x for nt so bid 3, partner passed. The other table were in 3nt -1 on a lead.

Lucky us, I'm not saying the bidding was right - which is why I posted it. B)
