Therefore 3NT is clear. I guess someone might play some fancy gadget to show the spade shortage in case partner has ♠ Axx and no ♦ A in which case 5♦ could be better. You are giving away info about the lead this way, but they are probably always leading a spade and a heart wont be fatal usually given that partner has a stopper as well.
