jdonn
5♣. If they bid 5♠ my next bid will be the "I don't trust my opponents" card.
rogerclee
Partner caught K9xxx in trump support; why don't we tell him about it?
han
I don't understand what this thread is about, 4C is quite a statement and we have 5-card support.
cherdano
I trust my partner, I don't care about the opponents.
Apollo81
Even if partner had bid only 3♣ I would bid 5♣ here.
helene_t
Is p a good player, too? Doesn't matter, I bid 5♣ even opposite a bad partner, if only as a matter of principle.
Cascade
Double is crazy ... we might get a one trick set ... meanwhile we have a decent chance at game opposite as little as ♠ -♥ AKxxx♦ xxx♣ AQxxx The spade void might not be proven but partner rates to have more than this to offer the four-level opposite a passing partner. I nominate "rates to have" as the understatement of the year. 4♣ with this is crazy! I expect 6-5 or 6-6.

Sambolino
since the question was "how much do we trust our opps"... if we trust'em (and that means 6-3 in trumps):seems like we need 3 tempos to overtake trump control (the payoff would be hefty, 500-800, even when 5c fails) and that's unlikely to happen i'd go for 5c however if i'm up against a player known for agressiveness (or even better foolishness) i would go for blood and lead club K

whereagles
None. That's the point: 5♣ makes easy.
dicklont
I have once read that you should *always* raise partner when he happens to hit your fivecard. I have followed that advice and have never been disappointed. This season i have not raised once and it was terribly wrong. So 5♣ it is, also without the king(s).
