rogerclee
Uhh, I'm not sure what anyone else bid, and I'm not sure what "1 SA" is, but I would guess 2♥ is my choice.
the hog
SA is "sans atout", which means "no trump".Obviously the bidding was 1H P 1S P I rebid 2H.
Guest Jlall
Assume it went 1H p 1S...I would rebid 2h.
P_Marlowe
2H. You have a 6 carder, you should show it. With kind regardsMarlowe
Gerben42
At MP 1NT could well be a success, but the rest of the field bids 2♥ also, and you play better than the field so... 2♥.
Cascade
Same as others. If partner bid 1♠ then 2♥. If it was an opponent who bid then pass but I dont think this can be the case as we would not have the 1NT option.
gwnn
without 6♥'s I would have seriously considered pass. so let's give pd the reason why we opened. 2♥.
Codo
Sorry for the bad desing, yes it is undisturbed, I opened 1 Heart, pd answered 1 Spade, opps passed so for (and will do for the complete bidding). And yes 1SA is 1NT ;)
thebiker
Surely an unnecessary topic for this forum?Or does "general" bridge discussion translate to "easy" bridge discussion for some? regards thebiker Brian Keable

Codo
Well, I hold this hand in a recent tourney and made the 2 Heart wtp bid. I played there in a 6-0 fit, which was no success, because pd had QJxxx,V,AJxxx, xxx.(To make things worse, he had a nonforcing 2 Diamond bid avaiable after a 1 NT bid, but this is just a side note) Surely one hand proofes nothing, but most of you have ideas about opening 1 NT with a 5 card major. Some have agreements for opening 1 NT with a six card minor. So how bad can it be to show this suit as a 5 card suit and the balanced shape of the hand with a 1 NT rebid? You have more quacks then aces and Kings, some stuff in the short suits, no fillers in hearts. This all "screams" NT, just the 6. Heart says 2 Heart. Up till yesterday it was as much wtp as it is for you. But I am not sure anymore. There is no clue in this hand (and in the bidding so far) that you will play better in Hearts then in another strain. OF course bad things can happen- pd has a kind of fit, like Ax and you have to look at them taking the first 8 tricks in Clubs and Spade. But is this really a bigger danger then playing in this suit if there is no fit?
han
1 sans. Hopefully partner has a non-forcing 2D available if he is 5-0-5-3.
catatonic
roland , c'est un blague!!so you played in a 6-0 fit with the singleton J in dummy ; think you should post after less white stuff .......pernod of course ...and was the asking for rebid not giving the auction to make it harder for us? kenrexford
Resent in error I errantly resent that as well.
jchiu
1 sans. Hopefully partner has a non-forcing 2D available if he is 5-0-5-3. Then vote for it to break up the unanimous poll, Han. Please do so by Friday, or else I will have to hire a monkey to do so for you.
gwnn
you should only break up the unanimous poll with a serious vote han ------ now your fanclub will ruin it!!

Seriously Roland, if the H were headed by one hon only, (or 0 hons), sure then rebid 1NT. One hand proves nothing. Why waste brain cells when 90% of the time the right bid is 2H?
