Oops Csaba and Kristoffer both vote pass, make me worried about my 2 bid.

If p has a fit this hand has sufficient playing strength, it has the same adjusted LTC as xx-AKQxx-KQx-xxx. Also my spade shortness make it risky to pass. Yet 2 can obviously be wrong if p has not fit or if he (eventually) decides to double their 4.

Would obviously pass at vul and at IMPs probably also pass at w/w.

Pass.

I get a bit of a kick out of those that overcall 2 AND bid 3 on the other thread with the QTxxxxx

Why is that? The other hand was xx Tx AK QT-7th. Move the duplicated K to somewhere useful and you might well make 3. Or you might go down. Oh well. Opponents have a 10-card spade fit and are cold for probably 3S or 4S.

Exactly, and I would try to preempt an argument like "that would not be true if you rearrange the suits" by saying the spade shortness in particular is a large part of the appeal of overcalling on a hand this light.
