jdeegan
;) 2♦ since partner is a passed hand
skjaeran
I make the 2♦ overcall here, but it's very close between 2♦ and double for me. The tie breaker is that we open light, making it less probable that we can have a game on. To make a compromise between competing for the (best) partscore and get partner on to what probably will be the best lead on defence I chose to bid my suit. the hog
2D. A matter of style. We still have a shot at hearts if pard makes a responsive dbl. To the doublers: do your pards always take preference to hearts with 4H and 5C? Yes of course. Don't yours Phil?
Edmunte1
2♦ is a better bid for me, for many reasons:-takes away bidding space-it's a good lead director-cannot be penalised due to the good quality of the suitI won't double with this hand, tghough i play ELC
mikestar
I rather prefer 2♦ to double: the lead directing value and the danger of a club advance tip the scales. I would prefer double to keep hearts in the picture if we are playing ELC.
